Making homemade granola will be the best decision of yours!

You might be wondering: why bother making your own granola when there are so many options available at the store? Well, let me tell you why this homemade version is truly underrated:

  • Naturally Sweetened Goodness : My high protein peanut butter granola is sweetened with natural ingredients, avoiding the surprisinly high amounts of added sugars often found in store bought granolas.

  • Extra Crunchy Clusters : Say goodbye to lackluster granola with my recipe that delivers those unreal big clusters – the perfect satisfying bite with every spoonful.

  • Nutrient-Rich Ingredients : Packed with high-quality protein, fiber, healthy fats and plenty of essential nutrients, this granola fuels your body with the good stuff!

The ingredients you will need:

  • 120g old fashioned GF oats

  • 40g GF oat flour

  • 20g vanilla vegan protein powder (Mine linked here/ Discount code: FITMINGOKRIS)

  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds combined with 5 tbsp warm water

  • 10g coconut oil

  • 40g smooth peanut butter

  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/3 tsp salt

  • 30g chopped pecan nuts

The procedure:

Step 1. Preheat your oven to 185°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2. In a large bowl, mix oats, oat flour, protein powder, salt and nuts. Mix well.

Step 3. In a separate medium bowl, mix: flax seeds with water (let it sit for 5 minutes), melted coconut oil, peanut butter and maple syrup. Combine well.

Step 4. Add into the bowl with dry ingredients and mix well so the ingredients are nicely combined.

Step 5. Spread the granola mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and press down into a big rectangle.

Step 6. Bake for approximately 13-15 minutes or until golden.

Step 7. Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking it into clusters.

Step 8. Enjoy your high protein peanut butter granola with some plant yogurt, milk or simply by the handful, which is my favorite. :)
